Some words about this section

Naming conventions:
To avoid confusion let me explain some things about about the names you'll encounter in this section. The first part of a Chinese name is the last name! So e.g. Yuen Biao is Mr. Yuen. Often the first name consists of two parts which I will connect by a '-'. So e.g. Chow Yun-Fat's first name is Yun-Fat. (Sometimes this is written as Chow Yun Fat.)
That's not too difficult, but to add some confusion many people have English first names. A famous example would be Jackie Chan. It's obvious that in such cases Chan is the last name. So if there is a well known English first name I will use it. That means I will refer to Andy Lau Tak-Wah as Andy Lau (omitting his real first name Tak-Wah).
Another problem is how to write a Chinese name in English. E.g. Yuen Kwai is sometimes written as Yuen Kuei or Yuen Kwei. I will use the spelling I have encountered more often (or the one I prefer or probably I'll mix it all up anyway).
One last thing to note is that there are some exceptions to using only English first names. Sometimes two people have the same last name (that happens, in fact it happens many times), which wouldn't be much of a problem. But if these two people have the same (English) first name as well this might produce some confusion. To demonstrate: If I talk about Tony Leung, do I mean Tony Leung or Tony Leung? Therefore I will make use of the person's Chinese first name in such cases. (So it's Tony Leung Kar-Fai or Tony Leung Chi-Wai.)

As for the name of a movie there are sometimes different titles for one and the same film, but it is also possible that two movies are called the same. Mostly I will use one title for a movie throughout the text, but in some exceptions I might change between names if a film has more than one. In the filmographies I try to give all known names for each movie but the order might change from one filmography to the other. Perhaps the year the movie was made in will change as well, as different sources give different years and I don't want to stick to one.

Filmography:
I will try to make the filmographies as complete as possible (with the stress on try).
